Hardy Family Picnic

The Hardy Family Picnic, formerly known as the Hardy BBQ, is a time of celebration and closure, where we get together as one big school community. In June 2018, because of construction challenges, Thompson School generously hosted our event.

Many thanks to our friends on the Thompson School PTO and Principal Karen Donato for sharing their park and space with us!

Our Hardy Family Picnic is a beloved tradition. Bring a blanket and pack a picnic. Or have your pizza delivered. Hang out on the grounds and listen to awesome tunes, provided by our awesome parent/DJ (special thanks to DJ Joe Marshall!). Bring some dollars for tickets, and take this rare advantage to dunk a graduating 5th grader! Or to walk in circles at the Cake Walk and win a cake! Best of all, enjoy the company of our fabulous school community as we close out the school year!

Volunteer!
We need helpers to set up and clean up.  Sit at the ticket table. Refill water containers. Run line management. Supervise the dunk tank. Help with the Cake Walk.

Like to bake? Bake one of the 100+ cakes needed for the Cake Walk activity.

There is NO ENTRY OR FOOD FEE for this event!

In 2018, our event was enhanced with the presence of a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Truck.

The Details:
We asked that families bring a picnic and a blanket. The cost to sit, eat your picnic and chat is free.

Donations were accepted and went toward covering costs. Any profit went directly to PTO programs.

PTO provides cold water to refill water bottles, music, a dunk tank for the 5th graders, and our traditional cake walk.
