Show it Off Ally is HERE!!

Thanks to the generous time and effort of our fearless PTO treasure Andy Forbes and many other nameless heroes, each grade level will now have there own bulletin board in the cafeteria hallway!  These boards will be used to showcase the subjects and projects that each grade level is working on throughout the year.  Make sure to stop by AFTER school to check them out.  Please remember that the only parents who should be entering the building with their children in the mornings are kindergarden parents.  Much thanks and enjoy Show It Off Ally!

Support our Friends at the Pierce School

Our friends at the Pierce school came back to a bit of a mess after the holiday break.  Apparently the water lines froze and burst sending tons of water crashing through ceilings and classrooms.  But most unfortunate was that the school library was very damaged and they lost a good portion of books due to water damage.  In the spirit of community and literacy, the Hardy PTO is asking families to go through their own libraries and to bring any HARDBACK children’s books that you would like to donate, to our librarian Ms. Muirhead.  She will coordinate with the librarian at Pierce and we will help begin to rebuild their school library.  Thanks in advance for your generosity.

Playground Pride!

As you all know, our amazing Principal wrote a grant entitled, “Let the Children Play!” and has had it funded by AEF!  This is a great first step in the revitalization of our children’s play space.  Thanks Ms. DeFrancisco! Now, after many phone calls and inquiries, a safety assessment was finally conducted on our playground and determined, as we know, that it is in great need of repair.  These repairs will cost upwards of $10,000!  The evaluation even suggested that we should begin planning for a new play structure that would cost in the vicinity of $400,000!  Scary numbers!  As we begin the next planning process of our playground rejuvenation project, there are many programs out there giving away playground structures.  Please consider taking a few minutes each day to enter our school in the follow contest approved by Ms. D.
