PTO President Post – Vol. 9 / Issue 2

            <div class="paragraph">

Hello everyone!

First I wanted to thank Katie Garrett, Melissa Jacobs and all those who helped with the ice-cream social. What a lovely event that was. Also thank you to all the PTO members who helped out with our Back to School night.

We have a few events coming up, starting this coming Saturday with the Harvest Fest. Please see below for all the information you need and feel free to sign up to help ( Harvest Fest). Also, remember to invite a neighbor or two to come along. This is a great event for our whole Hardy neighborhood.

The Book Fair will be coming up this November, hopefully the 14th-18th. We will need a lot of volunteers; when we are closer to the event, we will have a signup genius ready. If you are interested in running an event in the evening (like the Starbooks event last year), please contact me. This is when we have a coffee shop like atmosphere in the cafeteria (or, as Katie had it last year, a French café) and the book fair is open upstairs.

Lastly, I wanted to remind you how easy it is to raise money for our school without even trying. First, remember to check with your employer if they will match any contributions that you make. Second, we have Amazon (access it from the Hardy website; before you pay, just go to the Hardy website, click on the Amazon button and your whole cart will be right there waiting for you and Hardy will get 4-10% back), Target Redcard, Stop & Shop A+ Rewards, Maxima Gift Center (mention Hardy at check out), Menotomy Beer & Wine (mention Hardy at check out).

Hope to see you all at the Harvest Fest this Saturday October 1st,

Cédrine Bell, PTO President

Cub Scouts
If interested in Scouts, see:  www.Arlingtoncubs313.com

Who? Boys in grades 1 – 5 may join Cub Scouts. Families are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
What? Cub Scouts (grades 1-5) is a year-round program designed to meet the needs of young boys and their families through fun and challenging activities designed to promote education, character, and physical development. Some of the best things about Cub Scouting are the activities you get to do: Camping, Hiking, Building and Racing model cars, going on Field Trips, or doing projects for your community.
Where? Pack meetings are held at St Camillus, 1175 Concord Turnpike Arlington. Den Meetings are held in different locations, including the library, local parks, and the homes of scouts.
When? Pack meetings of boys in all grades are held monthly, typically the first Friday Night from 7-8:30 pm. Den meetings with scouts in their grade/rank are held one to three times a month, based on the scout schedules.
Why? It’s Fun! You’ll make new friends, and learn new skills.
